One Stop Poetry Anthony Desmond Flash55

Mother’s Day, Davis was born in a Notting Hill Gate flat.

He was a good baby for an American expat.

His mother, the illustrious painter, grew orchids in the bath.

They lived by selling the flowers.

She sang to him, for a future, of joy and regard.

The song, Sally Gardens, she gave him that.
