One Stop Poetry Anthony Desmond Flash55

Mother’s Day, Davis was born in a Notting Hill Gate flat.

He was a good baby for an American expat.

His mother, the illustrious painter, grew orchids in the bath.

They lived by selling the flowers.

She sang to him, for a future, of joy and regard.

The song, Sally Gardens, she gave him that.

This is sweet, and I agree... a little celtic in her maybe.

Sounds like a lovely little flat to grow up in...certainly a haven for the creative. Sweet little piece, very warm and inviting.

Brian Yeats yes, this is a song I still sing to make nightmares go away for my teenagers.

In retrospect it is a touch sentimental. It was Mother's Day yesterday. Thank you also knightheart, Reflections, cianphelan
